To get access to the online pages of the identity management, you have to authenticate yourself with your university ID, your university password, and a one-time password.

University ID (or matriculation number or email address or given name and surname or ...):		The university ID (formerly WWU ID, frequently also called “userid” (user identification), user name, login name, or (university or CIT or IT or ZIV) account name) was submitted to you with your inscription documents or during an earlier registration. Example: `s_tudi12`. Note: New registered students can announce themselves soonest at the beginning of term.
University password:		The university password was communicated to you together with the university ID. Note: The special passwords used in some areas of the university cannot be used here.
One-time password (OTP): (For nonpersonal university IDs, a one-time password of the owner's personal university ID is accepted, too.)		The one-time password (OTP) must be created with an OTP generator formerly set up in the IT portal. (For nonpersonal university IDs, an one-time password of the personal university ID of the owner is accepted, too.)
Do not fill in (unless otherwise stated below):		Das The net access password is otherwise only used for WLAN and VPN.
		With this button you can enter the IT portal, the website of the identity management.

If you have a personal digital ID, please use this link. This link only works if you have previously imported your digital ID into your browser, see our guides.

If you are unable to use this method, please note the following information.

Lost your university ID?

If you have lost your university ID, please enter your matriculation number, your email address, or your given name and surname instead. After successful login you usiversity ID is displayed.

Lost your university password?

If you have lost only your university password and if you have given your current phone number for SMS in the IT-Portal, then please leave the “University password” input field above empty and instead enter your network access password or the answer to your control question stored in the “Do not fill in” field. (If you do not remember the control question, enter only your university ID above and it will be displayed.) You will then receive a special password by text message to that phone number, which you can use to log in and set up a new university password.

Lost your one-time password generator?

If you have lost only your one-time password generators and if you have given your current phone number for SMS in the IT-Portal, then please leave the “One-time password” input field above empty and instead enter your network access password or the answer to your control question stored in the “Do not fill in” field. (If you do not remember the control question, enter only your university ID above and it will be displayed.) You will then receive a special one-time password by text message to that phone number, which you can use to log in and set up a new one-time password generator.

Lost your net access password?

If you have lost only your net access password, then you can login as usual above and then simply set a new net access password.

Lost both university password and one-time password generator?
No phone number for SMS given?
Both net access password and answer to control question unknown?

If you have lost both your university password and your one-time password generators, or if you have not given your current phone number for SMS in the IT-Portal, or in any other case, then please come to our service counter. There you will receive new access data on presentation of your identity card or passport.

If this is not possible due to a stay abroad, for health reasons or for other cogent reasons, please contact the CIT hotline so that we can look for solutions together.
